Missions

Missions is at the core of Centennial Baptist Fellowship. The Lord placed a special burden for missions in the hearts of Pastor Brian and Joy, as Joy comes from a family full of missionaries. God’s Word speaks very clearly that missions is at the heart of God, and CBF believes the same. We currently support a missions organization and 7 missionaries who are doing a phenomenal job at reaching the world for Christ.

Alan & Kathy Hart

Mozambique

The Harts were approved as World Baptist Fellowship missionaries to Portugal in August 2001. They had already served in that country for 12 years. Alan is a 1985 graduate of Massillon Baptist College in Massillon, Ohio. After being asked to train the pastors and leaders of churches in Mozambique, South Africa, the Harts felt the Lord leading them to make a field change there. After completing their furlough in 2007 they will be moving to Mozambique.

Alan made his profession of faith in 1979 and Kathy in 1980.

They were married in 1975 in Rochester, Michigan and have three adult children, Dawne, Michael and Rebeka.

Tommy & Linda Raley

World Baptist Fellowship
Missions Director

Tommy and Linda Raley were both saved as teenagers through the ministry of the Trentman Avenue Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas. They were teenage sweethearts who grew up in the church together. Tommy is a 1962 graduate of the Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas. He and Linda worked with the youth at Trentman Ave. for several years, the last two as a full time staff member.

In 1969 they felt the call of God to the mission field and were approved by the World Baptist Fellowship in 1970. After completing deputation and language school Tommy, Linda and their four sons arrived on the field in Colombia in August of 1972.

Due to the illness of two of their sons they were forced to return to the States at the end of 1976 and in February of 1977 Tommy was called as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Pleasanton, Kansas. After a successful five year ministry in Kansas, the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas called him as pastor.

In 1984 they returned to the mission field of Mexico where they worked until the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Committee asked Tommy to accept the position as Mission Director. Tommy and Linda have served in this ministry since 1990. Linda also serves as Financial Secretary of the Mission. As Director of the Mission Agency, Tommy spends a great deal of time in mission conferences and other special mission emphasis services in churches while Linda oversees the work in the office.

They are happy in this present ministry which gives them the opportunity to serve the missionary families around the world as well as the supporting churches.

Their home church is the Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.

Mike & Christie Starling

MissionQuest International

Mike and Christie were approved as World Baptist Fellowship missionaries to Mexico in 1993. During their years of ministry in Mexico they formed MissionQuest that was used to challenge young people to serve the Lord. In 2007 they felt the Lord was leading them to work with MissionQuest full time to take teams to foreign countries on short-term mission trips with the sole purpose to recruit people for missions.

MQI focuses on enlisting God's people to engage in missions work and empowers them to make a difference in the lives of people all over the world. We organize and lead short term missions trips and projects to put people face to face with foreign countries, cultures and missionaries. Only there can they understand the need, hear the calling and derive the passion to return home and fully engage in missions through their local churches or surrender to career missions. Come with us and let us show you the rest of the world.

Mike was saved at the age of seven and Christie was saved when she was seventeen years old.

They were married in 1990 at the Midway Baptist Church in Aubrey, Texas and Mike graduated from Arlington Baptist College in 1992.

Their sending church is the Temple Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas.

They have three children - Skyler, Spencer and Sicilie.

Mission Quest International

Short Term Mission Trips

Since its inception in 1990, Mission Quest International has led over 3000 people to the mission field in Mexico, Honduras and Ukraine. At least 10 individuals and their families are serving as full-time missionaries on various fields, with different organizations, as a direct result of exposure to missions through MQI. Hundreds have committed themselves to deeper involvement in missions and other ministries at home because God touched their heart on a Mission Quest trip. Several foreign nationals have surrendered to full-time service and are active in ministry overseas because of their cooperation with MQI to accomplish a project in their country. MQI has been effective . . . now it's time to take our efforts to the next level.
