Meet the Leadership

Brian Densmore ~ Pastor

As Pastor, there are three areas of ministry that are near and dear to my heart.

First, I love the preaching ministry. The opportunity to deliver the message is great, but the journey of preparation for the message is even greater. I am privileged to share the fruit of my study in each message, but I wish everyone could take the voyage with me in preparation for my messages. The Bible is rich and full of so many beautiful life changing truths.

Second, I love spending time with people. Whether it is through an organized church activity or a random get together, I love spending time with the people in our church. They love God and each other so much and are such a blessing to just be around them. Praying for our members is natural, enjoyable, and a delight. Also, sharing Jesus with a lost person is probably my greatest thrill. The discipleship of new converts is a great privilege as well.

Third, I love the general oversight of all of the various ministries of our church. You would be hard-pressed to find a people that wanted to serve in their church greater than in ours. It is awesome to hear reports of all of the people serving the Lord in the many ministries of CBF.

Andy Lang ~ Assistant Pastor / Church Administrator

Andy has been involved in various ministries for over 20 years.  He has been a children's ministry pastor, singles pastor, youth worker, missions coordinator, choir director and ministry adminstrator. He has also served as assistant director for a camping ministry.  His passion is to aid the pastor in the endeavor to do all things decently and in order. Administration is key to any ministry, and the aspect of organization and communication is the area that Andy is assisting with the staff and congregation.

Nathan Babers ~ Youth Pastor

Nate received his degree from Northland Baptist Bible College with a Bible major and a theology minor. After graduating college, he served on staff for four years at THE WILDS Christian Camp in North Carolina where he met his wife, Lori. They moved to Colorado where he assisted a youth pastor at a local church until the Lord called him to be the Youth Pastor at CBF. Nate loves working with teenagers and desires to see many teens come to know Christ and to develop a passionate relationship with Him.

Don Combs ~ Singles Pastor

Pastor Don has been in ministry for nearly 30 years serving as an assistant pastor, senior pastor, and children/teen evangelist.  His desire is to lead people of all ages into an understanding of the "exchanged life" - exchanging their lives for Christ's life; learning to walk in dependence on Him rather than in independence.  At this time, he leads the single's group and assists in various other capacities as needed at CBF.

Oak Okkelberg ~ Business Manager

Oak has been involved in church activities and ministries for the past 37 years.  One of his greatest joys has been the opportunity to teach during the Life stage (Sunday School ) hour before the morning worship service.  Over the years he has taught classes from Junior High to adults as well as teaching Sunday evening Training Union classes.  He currently teaches senior adults during the CBF Life Stages hour and also serves as a Deacon and the Business Manager.

Greg Montague ~ Worship Leader

Greg has been leading worship in churches for over 28 years, as a musician, choir director and worship leader. His passion is to lead God's people to the foot of the cross and truly worship Him. Music plays a vital role in our daily walk. He employs a blended style of worship that follows the scriptural model of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. At CBF, our goal is to use all worship arts mediums, vocal & instrumental music, drama and video to reach the lost, encourage and empower the body of believers.

Kathy Ellis ~ Administrative Assistant

Kathy has been actively serving in churches since she was a teenager.  Beginning as a church pianist when she was 14, she continues to serve in the music ministry as a pianist and vocalist.  She is also the church clerk and assists the Pastoral staff with their administrative work.   The Awana program has always been a big part of her life, and she helps her husband Kendall in the Awana ministry during the school year.
